Broke Collections by moving emby folder.

I moved my emby directory from its default location to an SSD on a different drive, everything seem to work just fine, then I noticed my collections all still worked, its just nothing new would be created, as I removed and readded a few better quality items.

I was going to remove and readd the auto box set stuff, but I updated to the newest version of the server and saw it said this could be removed it was now built in, hoping that would fix the issue but it did not.  (on version 4.7.11.0 currently)

I have no problem just clearing this out and letting it rebuild, but renaming the collections folder in metadata did nothing and that was when I noticed they dates on those folder were the same date it was moved, as well as, genres, library, and views, all other folders had more current dates.   I have added new stuff and it shows up just fine.

Just seems like the collections is the issue.

Hi there, can you please provide a specific example? Did you enable importing collection information in the library options?

Yes, I did enable - Import collection information from metadata downloaders.

The collection existed there were 3 movies, but I completed deleted that folder and created a new one, and it never picked it back up.

I had also added a 2nd movie that should have created a collection and it didn't.

because the folder date on the metadata \collection folder hadn't changed since I move the emby location I thought it might be related?

Can you post the server log.

Looks like Emby tried to display one but couldn't find the deleted folder.  But something really wrong with that name.

Assuming your media has <set> data a full library scan should rebuild it.

Do you write nfo files with media?  If so can you check the nfo file of a item that you know belongs to a collection and see it there is a <set> node.

Can you also test on a couple items that belong to a collection and Refresh metadata on them to see if a Collection is made.

What is your movie library provider order?

What value do you have on minimum automatic collection size?

Any folder name that had an "&" had the error I took all those out, there for and rename them and, it seemed to change things
or maybe it was by chance, but another Collection folder shows up now, but it has nothing in it, the other still has the same issue.

Not sure what you are saying here, but everything else does work.

I do write nfo with media.  I do see a set inside an nfo.. something like this.  set tmdbcolid="111111"

TheMovieDb
The Open Move Database

I did a refresh on both that I knew should be there and it did create the collection.

I guess now the question is how do I get rid of the empty (extra) collection folder.

So I was being dumb, I just deleted that old collection folder, I guess it was a left over from auto box sets and  the new stuff does it different?

Under library access I see collections isn't there anymore, but I can still see them, and that's all I care about.

I would also like to add, I've been around since the mediabrowser days, and have turned several others onto emby and really appreciate what you guys do and how well it all runs these days.

Keep up the good work.
