tre4b2 2 Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I was adding a new season of a program to my library and it just disappeared. This season was one created many years after the original 8 seasons, so I labeled it as Season 9. When I look in the logs it does seem to find the files, but then does not recognise the series. The challenge I have is how do I see these files in the interface so that I can try and find the correct metadata for them. They seem to just totally disappear as far as the interface is concerned and I don't see how I can match them. What am I doing wrong here and how do I attach these files to the series even if I have to generate the meta data myself?
seanbuff 1318 Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Is it Dexter? Do you save NFO files locally with the media, if so, you can check on the filesystem what it was recognized as.
tre4b2 2 Posted February 14, 2023 Author Posted February 14, 2023 it is I have only just set this up having moved it from another server. I have nfo files with the older files but newly added media do not.
seanbuff 1318 Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 TVDB originally had the latest season as Season 9 of the original series, but then that changed, was removed and it officially became it's own series. I suggest you pull it out of 'Dexter' and create it as the series name 'Dexter - New Blood' with a single season. Perform a library scan. The TVDB Id is 412366 1
tre4b2 2 Posted February 14, 2023 Author Posted February 14, 2023 Thanks seanbuff, I'll do that. For future reference does Emby have a process that deals with totally unrecognised things? or am I best to look up the TVDB before adding something?
tre4b2 2 Posted February 14, 2023 Author Posted February 14, 2023 Tried that, Looking in the log it seems to have successfully removed what I did before. It then finds the new series, and seems to get the titles for them (or at least for 6 of them). Those titles though are not for the new blood series, and It still does not appear anywhere under TV. 2023-02-14 14:44:40.256 Info App: Removing item from database, Type: Episode, Name: Dexter, Path: /tv/Dexter/Dexter S09E01.mkv, Id: 11939 2023-02-14 14:44:40.264 Info App: Deleting path /config/metadata/library/d9/d9246dc0cab3d60e112aa9b7d6ab4d6a 2023-02-14 14:44:40.362 Info App: Creating Season Season Unknown entry for Dexter 2023-02-14 14:44:40.502 Info App: Removing virtual season Dexter 2023-02-14 14:44:40.502 Info App: Removing item from database, Type: Season, Name: Season Unknown, Path: , Id: 11955 2023-02-14 14:44:40.512 Info App: Deleting path /config/metadata/library/c5/c5c4e1da6cf47c6d7c2497774f494e47 2023-02-14 14:44:40.709 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E06.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-02-14 14:44:40.731 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-02-14 14:44:41.260 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E01.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-02-14 14:44:41.282 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-02-14 14:44:41.294 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E07.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-02-14 14:44:41.316 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-02-14 14:44:41.335 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E04.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-02-14 14:44:41.357 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-02-14 14:44:41.374 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E03.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-02-14 14:44:41.396 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-02-14 14:44:41.408 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E02.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-02-14 14:44:41.431 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-02-14 14:44:41.445 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Execute: /bin/ffprobe -i file:"/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E05.mkv" -threads 0 -v info -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format -show_data 2023-02-14 14:44:41.466 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 0 - Succeeded 2023-02-14 14:44:52.901 Info LibraryMonitor: Crocodile (/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E02.mkv) will be refreshed. 2023-02-14 14:45:00.057 Info LibraryMonitor: Popping Cherry (/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E03.mkv) will be refreshed. 2023-02-14 14:45:07.558 Info LibraryMonitor: Let's Give the Boy a Hand (/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E04.mkv) will be refreshed. 2023-02-14 14:45:15.505 Info LibraryMonitor: Love American Style (/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E05.mkv) will be refreshed. 2023-02-14 14:45:24.488 Info LibraryMonitor: Return to Sender (/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E06.mkv) will be refreshed. 2023-02-14 14:45:32.532 Info LibraryMonitor: Circle of Friends (/tv/Dexter/Dexter - New Blood S01E07.mkv) will be refreshed.
