Finding a disappeared season

I was adding a new season of a program to my library and it just disappeared.   This season was one created many years after the original 8 seasons, so I labeled it as Season 9.  When I look in the logs it does seem to find the files, but then does not recognise the series.

The challenge I have is how do I see these files in the interface so that I can try and find the correct metadata for them.  They seem to just totally disappear as far as the interface is concerned and I don't see how I can match them.   What am I doing wrong here and how do I attach these files to the series even if I have to generate the meta data myself?

Is it Dexter?

Do you save NFO files locally with the media, if so, you can check on the filesystem what it was recognized as.

it is    I have only just set this up having moved it from another server.  I have nfo files with the older files but newly added media do not.

TVDB originally had the latest season as Season 9 of the original series, but then that changed, was removed and it officially became it's own series.

I suggest you pull it out of 'Dexter' and create it as the series name 'Dexter - New Blood' with a single season. Perform a library scan. The TVDB Id is 412366

Thanks seanbuff,  I'll do that.  For future reference does Emby have a process that deals with totally unrecognised things?  or am I best to look up the TVDB before adding something?

Tried that,   Looking in the log it seems to have successfully removed what I did before.   It then finds the new series, and seems to get the titles for them (or at least for 6 of them).  Those titles though are not for the new blood series, and It still does not appear anywhere under TV.

Your path is wrong, it has to be in its own series subfolder as it is its own series, so:

/tv/Dexter (2006) for Dexter's 8 seasons

/tv/Dexter - New Blood (2021) for its Season 1
