File names with the word "Sample"

Season 4, Episode 18 is named "The Sample"

it seems emby ignores anything with "SAMPLE" in it, as this episode does not show up in the library, create an NFO for, or even counts as a episode.

Correct, what size is the video.

Per library options.xml are set to this files size to ignore.

<SampleIgnoreSize>314572800</SampleIgnoreSize>

example test file is larger that limit shows without issue.

nice.... so cause all i have is 480p, that means emby wont display it for me....

Video: 480p H264 Audio: Und AAC stereo (Default)

so do i kill the "sample" limit as i do not use sample at all?

will an update over write that? (like how the 4.6 update killed my music folders even though i chose the strict structure) ?

edit to say that file in 480p H264 comes out to 126.2MB

as a second though, curious to where people "find" their media, as i have some trouble finding some things. and some of the rare ones i seem to only find in DVD quality, and nothing better!

The value in the xml needs to be lower that the file you want to see.

I also have this issue with the episode. I try changing the xml file to a lower number but still not reading it.

As per the user at the top of this post had I have the same issue. Episode called sample and therefore gets excluded. I tried to amend

@Lukesince library options.xml are obsolete as of 4.8 the only way to change this is the API correct?

Will need to be exposed via UI.

@kamikaze_worm86pretty sure you only option in updating the value directly in the api changing that value re POST the library configs.

All the basic info is shown in this guide I created for Collections library but same applies to all libraries.  So first GET /library/virtuafolders/query to get the specific library info.  Then only POST your library you are editing in /library/virtuafolders/libraryoptions.

FYI it is a per library option now.
