Playback Error iOS and others

So there have been a number of posts about the iOS playback error and I’ve seen the post possibly about SSL involvement.  
 

I’m hoping I have some additional help.  I have my main server on a Synology NAS and I use HAProxy with SSL to direct to my server with https.   I have noticed that if I try to connect directly to my server via https://xxx.xxx.com then I get the playback error

However if I connect to my network via Tailscale (kinda VPN) and then connect http through port 8096 …. I get no playback error.  

Any thoughts or suggestions?

 Is it going through HAProxy on my pFsense router?  Is my only option to forward my port and open my network?

So thanks reply - hopefully it will permanently work.  I think the issue is that most of us mere mortal guys don’t have enough knowledge of some of this stuff like HaProxy.

Because I have an actual GUI with my pFsense I don’t understand the format put forth in the solution — so what I did was change a page that tells https request the “host matches” mb.xxx.com which is setup on port 443 to  “host start with” …….

Hopefully it accomplishes the same thing
