mvanIII 1 Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Previously : Offering more detail here... All of my TV items appear as folders with stills (as opposed to posters which accompany movies): https://imgur.com/a/Wq4ihWs If I click into the folder structure 'Irma Vep' -> 'Season 1' -> 'Irma Vep - S01E01 - The Severed Head' and choose `Identify` and apply the details to `TheTVDB Id: 393404` (from https://thetvdb.com/series/irma-vep) I get: `No items matching your search criteria were found.` This applies to all TV shows. I've also tried using TMDB and IMDB to same result. Here is a log snippet from the `Identify` search: 2023-02-12 21:20:12.061 Info Server: http/1.1 POST http://<200c><200d><200d><200d>emby.ddd.win<200c>/emby/Items/RemoteSearch/Movie?X-Emby-Client=Emby Web&X-Emby-Device-Name=Brave macOS&X-Emby-Device-Id=1b4a5ab7-3bbe-425c-8e53-889f4c1541ad&X-Emby-Client-Version=4.7.11.0&X-Emby-Language=en-us&reqformat=json. GrimReaper 4739 Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 All your series have been recognized as a movies and queried as such hence you're getting no results, likely because of your folder structure in Mixed content type library, when using that library type you have to be particularly careful about structure/naming. Care to share a screenshot of your library folder?
mvanIII 1 Posted February 12, 2023 Author Posted February 12, 2023 This is what the filesystem / naming convention looks like. This is a screenshot of other contents: https://imgur.com/a/Wq4ihWs Irma Vep/ Irma Vep/Season 1 Irma Vep/Season 1/Irma Vep - S01E05 - Hypnotic Eyes WEBDL-720p.mkv Irma Vep/Season 1/Irma Vep - S01E06 - The Thunder Master WEBDL-720p.mkv Irma Vep/Season 1/Irma Vep - S01E04 - The Poisoner WEBDL-720p.mkv
GrimReaper 4739 Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 What is that library type, as tabs are cut off so cannot determine? I assumed it is Mixed type, but it might be Movies type just as well, as Irna Vep should have been recognized as a series whereas Kindred... Tokyo... Rehearsals... not. 13 minutes ago, GrimReaper said: Care to share a screenshot of your library folder?
mvanIII 1 Posted February 12, 2023 Author Posted February 12, 2023 I'm in Config -> Server -> Library and I realize I've been totally ignorant of the *Content type* as offered when I choose *New Library*. I'm nearly certain this shows all of my content as being 'Movies' only. I'm going to 1) remove this library 2) create a new library with Content type *mixed content*
GrimReaper 4739 Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Just now, mvanIII said: this shows all of my content as being 'Movies' only. Of course it does, if you choose Movie type. For Mixed content type, it is recommended that all series have their own folder and season folders beneath, don't put season folders only as top level folders as in your screenshot. 1

Mixed Content can be problematic depending on your exact folder structure per show.
