Troubles with codec VC-1

Hello.

Ubuntu 22.04 as server, two different Android TVs as client, Playback bitrate set as "Auto" (no transcoding needed on LAN), Blue-ray remuxes with VC-1 codec, .

1. Emby server 4.7.6, Android Generic 3.2.90 app - VC-1 movies are freezes, Android TV 2.0.79 app - everything is fine.

2. Emby server 4.7.11, Android Generic 3.2.90 app - VC-1 movies are freezes, Android TV 2.0.79 app - everything is fine except broken "Folder View" as default.

3. Emby server 4.8.0.21, Android Generic 3.2.90 app - VC-1 movies are freezes, Android TV 2.0.79 app - everything is fine except broken "Folder View" as default.

Movies with other codecs looks fine.

When I use Android Generic 3.2.90 app I see "Auto-Direct" quality during playback and no ffmpeg-transcode log.

When I use Android TV 2.0.79 app I see "Auto-80Mb/s" quality during playback and ffmpeg-transcode log is writing.
What does it mean? 3.2.90 doesn't use transcoding and VC-1 troubles belonged to my TV? 2.0.79 uses transcoding even if not needed and no troubles?
When I try to set much lower bitrate with 3.2.90 the movie is playing and I see ffmpeg-transcode log.

I forget to note that I use definitely not Android TVs but Android TV boxes Mecool KM6.

Here you can see that 2.0.83 app transcode video with VC-1 codec while 3.2.90 don't.

Hi @slaver666 yes it's trying to direct play vc1, but the device can't handle it very well with software decoding. We'll take a look at it. Thanks.
