Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Please post the server and ffmpeg log for a specific example. How to Report a Problem

Info Tone Mapping would be desired, but VAAPI tone mapping mapping method is set to 'none' @softworkzare there separate settings? Or is the diagnostic plugin needed. Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Is there a reason you are on an old server? Emby Server version: 4.7.2.0

The selection on the Transcoding page can switch it on or off only. With the Diagnostics Plugin you get more detailed control (and it's a bit better understandable).
Hyy2001X 1 Posted February 16, 2023 Author Posted February 16, 2023 I upgraded the image to the latest version 'emby/embyserver:4.7.11.0', and installed 'Diagnostic Options 4.7.0.60' plugin Now I enabled 'Tone Mapping' in 'Diagnostic Options 4.7.0.60' plugin, I find that the GPU does not work and the CPU is full when transcoding, the picture is very blurred, like p2.jpg Here is the latest server and ffmpeg log, photos, thanks for helping! embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-8222a280-05eb-4f5f-ab6f-69385474e85f_1.txt
Hyy2001X 1 Posted February 16, 2023 Author Posted February 16, 2023 I just tried to use 'AMD Radeon RX590 GME' GPU for transcoding, and the results are consistent. so I think Hardware HDR tone mapping can only be used on Intel GPU
