Stuck on 4.7.8.0 on DS215j?

Hey everyone, I was hoping to update to the latest server version. The package center says 4.7.8.0 says it's still the latest version but I can download 4.7.11.0 from the website. However, when I try to install it, it fails. I'm running DSM 7.1.1 on a DS215j. I believe I'm grabbing the correct file, it's name is "emby-server-synology7_4.7.11.0_armv7.spk". Whenever I check the admin dashboard it is detecting a new version, but for whatever reason the Synology package center isn't, or allowing me to install a new one.

Hi, the package center version is just a little behind. You can install the latest version manually by downloading the spk from our website, or wait for the package center version to be updated.

Ok, the manual install doesn’t appear to work for me. As long as the package center will eventually update I’ll be fine with that. Thanks for the reply, @Luke

Same problem here:

emby-server-synology7_4.7.11.0_armv7.spk

is not accepted while manually installing on DS215j

Any help or recommentdations?

Hi, what exactly happens when you try?

@LukeI just tried again today, still having the same problem. Here are the steps I took:

  • Log into Synology NAS
  • Stopped Emby service
  • Selected Manual Install button
  • Uploaded "emby-server-synology7_4.7.11.0_armv7.spk" file

I still receive the error in the screenshot on my first post. Says "This package is not supported on the platform of DiskStation or is incompatible with the current DSM version". My current DSM version is DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 4 and it says I'm up to date.

Any thoughts on why this might be happening? I assume I'm grabbing the correct file to update.

HI, if package center is behind you can always install the latest version manually from our website: https://emby.media/download

Please try the mono package (the one for all other armv7 devices on our website). The devices list is outdated, we will reflect that asap.
