Step:

1. Open movies library
2. Hard Press on any video
3. Select "Emby options"

Here's a pic from the default skin Estuary.  Items are selectable, but you can't see them anymore because they are white text on white background.  All skin options are set at default (I don't use this skin).  The transparent line is the one in focus.

Here is a pic from Artic Zephyre Reloaded skin.  Notice the background is transparent from the point of the highest poster (the one with focus) on down.  So, the last two items (Watch together and settings) don't have the background color of the rest of the items in the context menu.

Also, see the badges line.  All the ratings items disappear when I choose Emby options.  This doesn't happen with any other contest items.

Now here is a pic of what all other context menus look like.  Background color is present.  Ratings badges are still good.

Seems so be an issue with the context menu "skin" xml.

Actually, this code is one of the very last parts next-gen still shares with 4.X versions and seems to be buggy. I'll check...

Updating boxsets/collections is still a "manual" process (plugin menu -> sync -> manage libraries -> refresh boxsets). They should be updated on Kodi restart, but not in realtime.

Edge case, I need exact instructions to reproduce the issue. e.g. was it a multiversion content or just a double of a "regular" content etc.

Multiversion vs double content is a big difference from code perspective. Also a double assigned to different Emby libraries is again a different case.

Not multi version (or meant to be).  More of a mistake.  I had made a copy on my PC to remux and remove an audio track I didn't want.  Then I renamed the file and copied it back to my NAS in the original folder forgetting to delete the old file.  When I next scanned Emby added a second movie with the same name and new metadata which then got populated into Kodi.  Then I deleted the old file from my NAS and rescanned Emby which removed it, but for some reason I can't get it out of Kodi.

I ended up just doing a repair from the plugin on my movie library to remove the ghost movie.  I suppose I could have just removed it/them manually within Kodi also.  I guess I just thought the plugin would have done it automatically when syncing. 

Anyhow, the only issue I'm having now is the Emby options context menu thing which happens on all skins including the default.

In next version, plugin will support realtime boxset updates and also Kodi "native" favorites. Due to these fixes, I can also remove the specific Emby context menu and embed all Emby features into the native context menu.

Should be possible. fyi Episode tagging is not possible due to Kodi limitations, mixed content probably also tricky. TVShows are fine.

Hello everyone!

I get a message every so often telling me to update the library.

I don't know what to do anymore, I have 8.2.15 and I have updated from 7.13.7.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the warning still appears.

What solution does this have so that it doesn't appear anymore?

What's exact message? Something about database reset is required... Send me a kodi.log when it happens again.

My embyfor kody syncs are getting worse every version with 8.2.15 sync seems quite dead except initial sync.

If I watch something in the kitchen is not synced  to the one in living room till I go in embyforkody settings and select manage libraries> update > all

@all Does anybody else has issues? 8.2.15 is rock solid in my setup.

@LittleWizardI need a specific test case, otherwise I cannot help you.

I think you know how the sync works and there are major differences. -> Startup sync, Realtime sync etc. I need details and logs. and EXACT instruction what is not working and in which case.

Version .15 is working great for me except for the issue of the Emby context menu not displaying correctly and you mentioned using native Kodi menus once you add automatic movie set updates. 

No sync issues here, but my setup is real simple compared to LW.  All Emby/Kodi clients are connected to the same TV and when I switch from let's say the Shield (Kodi) to the Samsung (Emby) app everything looks good.

Yes, I'm working on that, but will take a while. I'm not just fixing this issue, I want to remove the whole Emby specific context menu. Therefore the Kodi favorites must be supported.

Unfortunately Kodi's favs are incredibly ugly/totally stupid. I need to fix them too at least as much as I can from plugin side.

Nice.  As far as my setup this is good for beta/stable since the other thing may take a while.  No showstoppers in .15 for me.

Strange.. I'm getting worse and worse every version off addon. With kodi 19 on nvidia shield and embyforkodi everything was perfect.

Kodi 20 on shield 2019 pro seems to have problems: kodi itself does not run if closed few seconds before even in new installs.

I have frequently hangs on stop with emby content for net timeout (on local network).

This does not happen on raspberry with libreelec on same network, both cabled.

Now I also have sync problems if not forced to do full sync.

quite a mess, but i'm on beta.

Emby does work greay, but not emby forkorkody and kody 21 on shiled (maybe is a kodi problem).

Maybe since emby app is good, could be better to focus on it and enhace it so we can avoid using kodi and its plugin.

Emby app only miss audio-video sync shift, better and more configurable time shift (just copy kodi forward, rewind with right back up down keys).

Maybe embyforkody will be stable in future, I don't know, but it is lot of time I coninue updating and resetting my devices hoping in embyforkody and results are far from perfect.

I really love quickmic work anyway and if I can contribute let me know (i'm already emby premiere obviously).

Ok, I'll try again to get logs when the sync does not work.

I'll also try to understand the different kind of syncs.

Is this the log before or after the reset? I need the one were you've been asked for reset and this log looks clean to me.

btw, the ONLY reason why the plugin asks for a reset (mandatory reset), is if you are running a lower version as minimal required.

The log is just after the warnings appear, several rapids appear in just 2 seconds.

 

I'll send a screenshot when it appears again.

 

I have already tried several options:

Update from a previous version.

Uninstall, restart Kodi and reinstall the addon with the latest beta version.

 

No matter what I do, the warning appears.
