Hi,

Thanks for the quick response Luke. I'll restore my Kodi backup overnight and get back to you with more details. Do I need to send you a log or anything?

Once the problem happens again, yes. Thanks.

Sorry for all the questions. Do you mean an emby log, a kodi log, or both?

I would say both.

it could be used for both the default Kodi and the IMdB ratings.

I think this depends on Emby's scraper settings.

It could be.  Mine seem to be the same as IMdB.  I believe Kodi scrapers tend to default to TMdB, but you can change them to IMdB.

If so, then maybe the Rotton Tomatoes ones is the only definite.  Unless there's others Emby gets,  IMdb 250 would be nice if it did.

Hi,

Kodi log is here:

https://paste.kodi.tv/axusiraguy

Every time I load Kodi I get a message saying Final Warning complete database reset is required, If you decline please stop here and manually downgrade to previous version.

If I select No, the message still pops up next time I open Kodi. If I select Yes, all of my databases, both Kodi and emby disappear in Kodi. I only use EMBY for a couple of them, the rest are Kodi not using Emby.

If I uninstall/reinstall emby and recreate the emby databases I use, would that prevent this happening?

First, I assume you updated from 7.X version. So the message is fine. 8.X needs a database resync.

Due to limitations in Kodi's plugin update procedure, there is no other way. If you select no (keep 7.x version):

Disable autoupdates for Emby's Kodi repos and reinstall 7.x via public testing (Kodi's filebrowser) or sideload 7.x via zip file.

If you want to upgrade to 8.x, select yes. This wipes the database (can take some time). If there is something wrong in the in the update procedure, let me know and please send me a kodi.log when selecting YES. The log is when selecting NO.

btw, do you use Kodi profiles?

Finally I recommend using latest beta version. As you used mixed content (Emby and native content), you could be affected by a bug in 8.2.8. I'll push 8.2.10 soon into stable repos.

Hi,

I think there is a problem with 8.2.10, using Emby server 4.7.13.0.

I'm running Kodi 20.2 on an AndroidTV.

I started to watch a show, pause it around 20 min from the beginning. After I power OFF the TV. went back later on and start back Kodi and resume the show then!

When finish the show (till the end), on Kodi the show still in the status being in the middle and not mark has Watched! Checking on my server emby and it is mark has watched.

So it looks like not updating the status after the show has been watched, is it because I paused it before and power off the TV without quitting kodi first? I may have to do some more test.

But surely something did not work has expected!

Before you ask, here is the log file :) https://paste.kodi.tv/eniwedefir

Thanks,

Joel

Sounds like an issue with sleep mode. Please confirm, you paused the show and not stop. Frankly, I never tried sleep mode while playback was paused.

I think the additional sources is causing my picture slideshow screen saver to not show my pictures.  SS is set to the correct path and should be displaying photos from pictures library.

I don't have my pictures in e4k and am using Kodi's scraper, but if you see the log I think it looks like it's trying to access my library using the loopback address.   SS then starts showing the default images from movie backgrounds.

I tried removing the lines below, but as soon as Kodi starts it readds those lines back in.

Anyhow, this used to work before .10.  If it's not that, then I'm not sure.

Hi,

I have a question how to handle photos with the plugin. Folder view doesn't work for me.

I can use the dynamic node pictures - folders but Kodi will not show any photos and no subfolders at all. Any sugggestions what works wrong.

The only dynamic node which works is "photo album" which is not the best choice for my collection (too many albums).

I'll check the folder view, it should work for pictures too.

Did that ever work? Seems the screensaver is browsing for a folder and cannot handle http links.

Yes, in the SS settings you can set the smb or nfs path to your pcitures and it's always worked up until now.  Which is why it's strange it's all of a sudden looking for pictures in the 127.0.0.1 when the settings specify the smb path.

Yep, but this means native file access (by Kodi) and is not really related to the plugin.

You can add another source in the source.xml as before.

The sources added by plugin are only a workaround for Kodi's poor masterlock code design.

Yes, but if my pictures aren't in e4k why would the SS all of a sudden be looking at http?

Source smb is in source file from when I added to Kodi natively.  e4k added the first two even though my pictures are added to the plugin.
