Minimize, maximize, close buttons

The clickable area of these buttons seems quite small and sometimes difficult to hit with the mouse.  Especially at 15' on a 60" TV.  Is it only the lines of the images that are clickable?  It doesn't seem like you can click in the square that contains the image.

I'd rather see an 'exit' or even better a 'shutdown' that I can reach with the remote
