Continue Listening not showing on home screen

Hi I've set up the home page to show continue listening but it doesn't show on the home page. I'd like to use Emby to play audiobooks but have to restart all the time and move on track to find approximately where I left off. Anyone any solutions?

Chrome browser. Would Emby theatre be a better option on the PC?

Hi, can you please provide an example? How have you configured your emby user home screen options?

Came here with the same problem.

Server is Linux/Docker latest at this time, version 4.7.14.0

Client is Android TV 2 1.00g ... I think.

Home screen layout is 

• My Media (small)
• Continue Listening
• Continue Watching

My Media and Continue Watching comes up as expected, but no signs of Continue Listening.  As far as I know it has been like this forever, I just never noticed or thought about it before.

Not that I know. I only use Emby for movies, shows and music. I don't expect or need exact tracking of where in a track I am, just where in a playlist/album.

Why do you ask? Is this "continue listening" only meant for audiobooks?

It's currently only for audio book libraries, but more options to control this are possible for future updates. Thanks.

Thanks, that is good to know. It explains why it doesn't work for music.  

Any particular reason why not?  Isn't it the same principle?

Because out of the box it's not something you typically see in a music app. Most people are not treating music albums like a tv series where they watch them sequentially and everything has a watched state.
