Gecko 71 Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Hi all, Just a quick question about metadata looking mechanism and artwork language in Emby. My situation is the following : I have the movie or tv show titles configured in my native language (well not me but for my non-english speaking family so they can look for titles more easily) but I prefer to have the main artwork with the original language of the movie. So I configured my libraries as such : - Preferred metadata download language: French - Preferred image download language: English However, when dealing with French movies, the artwork are downloaded in English of course. So I need to manually set the Preferred metadata download language for every French movie to "French" so that Artwork are always fetch in French. Isn't it possible to ask Emby to fetch the artwork in the original movie language ? French movies -> French artwork, American movies -> English, ... Also, if the source file is modified, Emby seems to start from scratch so the setting done at movie level is lost. If I "Lock this item to prevent future changes", I assume all metadata are locked, no just the language that has been manually set by me ? FYI, I use .nfo files alongside my movies to keep metadata if that changes anything. Thanks for your input guys, Gecko
