Truncated descriptions

If I am recalling correctly, in previous versions (maybe a year or more ago? it's only really gotten my goat lately) the descriptions would have a longer threshold for when they would go into runover and get truncated into the "More" link, and that previously that link would expand the text directly where it was, whereas now it opens it in a popup dialog.

Is this a setting we can control somewhere? The movie posters for media typically would accommodate for something 3x the length without truncating, but it still cuts off even when there's only a scant few words more.  I've put some pictures to better illustrate what I'm talking about.

Hi, there is currently no option to control this, but this has come up before and is possible for future updates. Thanks.

Thanks! It's not like super bothersome overall, but it sometimes activates that childhood "there's a monster at the end of this book" Grover effect when I click it and it's like "here's 3 more words" haha. :)

At least on clients where it's possible,  I think it's also preferable (both better looking and more natural) to expand the original in place rather than have a popup (which you then have to remember whether to click inside it or outside it to dismiss...).

It's also a shame that you cannot expand the descriptions in the season listings - you have to go to the episode screen and only then get the "more" option.  In fact, the "..." next to the description in the season listing is easily clicked by mistake at this point, because the ellipsis is often used by other programs to mean "show more".
