resetting date added to file creation date

Is it possible to reset the date added to the media file creation date?

I had my lib advanced settings set to "use the date scanned" and when I reset my library recently now all my movies had the same add date.

I would like to have the date added set to the file creation date but dont want to have to recreate my library again.

I tried a few things like resetting the last mod date on the files and re scanning and refreshing metadata etc but I get the feeling the date added is not refreshed with metadata refreshes.

Don't think you can do that without recreating library. 

Alternatively, you can try using 3-rd party tool that has several criteria for Date Added which it will write as <dateadded> NFO tag which in turn will be read by Emby upon metadata refresh.

yeah that might be my best option at the moment, that or write a plugin that does it.
