navy12 1 Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 (edited) Setting Transcode to /dev/shm/emby breaks live tv. Transcoding for normal movie and tv show files works just fine transcoding to ram but live tv does not work. Any ideas? Permissions are correct and emby does create directories and files in the folder Playback Error No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details. Edited January 12, 2023 by navy12 edit
Luke 42078 Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
wampl3r 4 Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 I haven't tried /dev/shm, and I'm not really sure why my method would be much different, but I added a dedicated mount in my fstab like so: tmpfs /var/cache/transcoding/emby tmpfs defaults,noatime,nosuid,nodev,noexec,size=96G,uid=emby,mode=1770 0 0 and live TV plays fine on my system.. Not sure it will help but figured I'd throw it out there just in case. 1
