I am trying to setup Emby with Windows 2022 Server Core as not sure the desktop experience has value.  I've set Windows and also added some DLL's that others have found helped with ffmpeg issues.  Ran the setup exe and went thru the screens.  Have two issues right now trying to resolve:

1. I can't access Emby from other computers on the network thru the web console.  Looks like there are some Emby Server entries in the firewall rules but apparently not enough.  Turning off the firewall I can access the web console.  What needs to be opened to allow fully emby functionality (note may do live TV also), and any idea why it's not fully functional right away?  is the install crapping out somewhere because of the Core OS?

2. After reboot app isn't starting on it's own.   Run server at startup is checked in the web admin.

Thanks.

Hi, if turning off the firewall allows it to be accessed then you may want to check the existing rules to see if any blocking ones might have been added.

By default the web server runs on TCP 8096 - so you'll need to allow incoming requests on that port from your other networks/clients on the same network - I suggest just on the Private Profile.

Check your main server interface is not set to Public - if it is, then you'll need to add 8096 to the Public Profile as well.

Startup - being a server, it should run as a service - see the wiki on how to do this (nssm).
