Can't manage Emby Server on Windows

What is going on ? When I go to the local ip address and the port I always get the "Create New User" and the Quick Start Guide and then I can't manage anything, what has happened ? I haven't had to do anything for a while but now I can't get into the Emby Server I just get this page and then if I put in a password and re-enter it just takes me to collections and media libraries I can't manage any server settings.

What platform?

Hard to say exactly without logs but if something affects you system.xml it could cause the wizard to run again.  But sounds like the user account is no longer an admin user.

While logged into the web client click user icon-app settings-display and get your userid from the url.

Then you will need to navigate to Emby programdata\config\users\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (userid folder) and check the policy.xml for <IsAdministrator> value.

So I managed to get back in again but I just had to create a new user, like I've been using the server for year now and I've never had to do this, it was like all the user information was removed I don't remember doing it but I managed to get back in go through all the prompts and then was able to manage the channel mappings which is what I needed to update. 

I'll do the stuff you mentioned anyway, I don't have any remote access enabled, it's all local, so I'm not concerned too much about security.
