Hi,

I am running Emby 4.7.11.0 on Windows 10. I select the edit images icon, then primary, then search. Pick a poster I like then select download. I just get spinning wheel which never completes. Tried with different movies and have the same issue. Changing source does not help. Any suggestions on how to resolve this please?

Please provide specific examples to include the server log for that example.

But have you tried restarting the entire system?

per the log your database is locked.

SQLiteException: Busy: database is locked

You need to follow the Unlock DB section.

Had I fresh look. Closed down Emby server and checked the database directory. There was no library.db-shm & library.db-wal files just library.db

Restarted Emby no "database is locked" errors any more. But I still cannot download a new movie poster. I see some access denied errors for the jpg concerned, but as far as I can see there are no issues with the file, I can rename it etc and then put name back to original with no issues from the user account that is running Emby server.

Fresh log file attached.

@GhostRider Will guess this one but points to a permissions issue.

Many thanks Happy2Play. Had a quick look and the user account has write access to the file OK. It is late for me now so will need a deeper look tomorrow.

Hi Luke, Happy2Play

I have figured out the issue. The user account that runs Emby had access to the file system OK which was misleading me as I could delete and rename files OK. The issue was with permissions on the Share. As I have Emby configured to access by Share Name I had to give write access to the Share as well. Once I did that Emby could download new posters just fine.

Is using the Windows Share the best way to set up Emby? I have been using Emby since Media Browser days so always setup it up that way.

Is it actually on another machine or is it on the same machine as the server? If it's on the same machine as the server then I would just setup the library with the local path instead.

Thanks Luke, Emby Server runs on a PC which has all the disks locally attached via USB. I do use Emby Theatre on my HTPC that connects to the Emby Server PC. It looks like it mounts the file system when I view on the HTPS, at least there are no transcoding logs generated on the server when using my HTPC. Do I need the Shares for this?

If it's all on the same machine then no, I would add the direct folder paths to emby server, rather than the network path.
