Joshk 0 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 (edited) I'm a brand new user. I just did a first-time install of Emby on Windows 11 Pro. I'm having trouble adding a new library. When I try to click "Content type" to select "Movies" or "TV", the dropdown appears for a split second after clicking and then closes. This happens on Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. I've attached a video to show what this looks like. How do I get around this problem? OS: Windows 11 Pro Emby: 4.7.11.0 Video_2023_01_05-1.webm Edited January 5, 2023 by Joshk

GrimReaper 4742 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Have you tried doing it from another browser? Also, do you have some peripheral connected (joystick, steering wheel...)? Or some browser extension that might be preventing it?
rbjtech 5284 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Worth trying Incognito mode as well (InPrivate on Edge) - CTRL+SHIFT+N
Mnejing 23 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Throwing in with the others about it being an extension. Whitelist the server in whatever blockers you have, just to be sure.

Yes, I've tried it from all of my browsers - Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. I have a joystick - this was an interesting suggestion! I detached it from my computer and tried again - unfortunately the same result. My Edge browser has no extension because I practically never use it and the problem still happens there. 4 hours ago, rbjtech said: Worth trying Incognito mode as well (InPrivate on Edge) - CTRL+SHIFT+N Thanks for this. Unfortunately, no luck here. 37 minutes ago, Mnejing said: Throwing in with the others about it being an extension. Whitelist the server in whatever blockers you have, just to be sure. Thanks. I tried adding an exception to uBlock on my firefox and unfortunately I'm still having the same problem. However, I did notice something. When I open my browser's "responsive design mode", I can make this problem happen and go away by resizing the window. The problem happens when the window is greater than 540 pixels wide. I wonder whether or not this is a visual bug in Emby server's web ui for this version? Video_2023_01_05-2.webm Edited January 5, 2023 by Joshk
Happy2Play 9782 Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Older topic but it should be something specific to this system. Do you have another machine you can connect with? Drop Down Menus No Longer Working - General/Windows - Emby Community But yes as you have seen emulating with windows size MOBILE sizes work as mentioned in that topic also. 1

I can't imagine you didn't actually try that either. But you know how Google searches in a few years are, people looking for info in old threads and never getting any more than fractured info XD 1
