Emby Server - New Install - Process Starts Then Stops Shortly after

Very odd situation.  As stated above, I've attempted a fresh install of Emby using 3 different Operating Systems: Windows 10, Windows 11, Server 2019.  All 3 exhibit the same behavior.  Upon install of Emby server and App launch, the EmbyServer process starts then stops within 10 seconds or less.  These are fresh OS installs.  I've tried removing/replacing all hardware in the system including ssd's....memory....nic's....you name it.  Have updated port forwarding with any IP changes.  No change.  Same behavior.  But here is where it gets odd.  When I install/attempt this very same operation on 3 other workstations I have.....no problem....works as it always has and process does not quit.

The systems I have that this is working on have identical OS/software configurations to what I'm attempting on this system.  So I feel like there is something on the hardware level that could be causing the issue but maybe I'm missing something.

Would love any ideas/assistance with this on what to look for on this particular machine that may be causing this since it seems to be specific to this hardware.  Been using Emby for years and feel a bit knowledgeable, but his issue is new to me and have run out of troubleshooting ideas.  If this topic has already been covered, my apologies for duplication and my inability to find it.  Am new to the support page/forum.

Hi, that's good. It looks like an abrupt stop. Is there anything in windows event viewer about it?

Could this be DLNA related?

Since Emby starts and stops it will require removing the plugin from system and programdata to test.

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\plugins

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\plugins

Or edit the dlna.xml to disable it.

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\config

<EnableServer>false</EnableServer>

Just attempted again and checked event viewer and appears I do have something going on here.  Looking like .NET issue maybe?  Attached screenshot of both events.

Think I may have found the culprit but not sure exactly the cause.  Shame on me too because I forgot to list this in my first post spec's.  I removed the GPU (Intel Arc A380) and its SW/Drivers.....viola issue resolved.  Repeated issue by reinstalling....issue returned.....removed again and issue resolved.

So.....not sure this is really a resolution as I don't know what about the Intel GPU and/or its software would be causing the issue yet without more investigation beyond process of elimination.  But definitely the cause on this system.  Makes it even stranger that the GPU worked on another system with Emby just fine.

Any thoughts?  If not, I can close this and chalk it up to living on the edge with new Intel GPU's lol.

Just the quirks of new tech and poor drivers.  But you are not the only one.

@dafty84 has this helped? Are you still having an issue with this?

I have encountered a similar problem to yours. When I used 9900K and A380, the Emby server crashed in less than 10 seconds after starting up. However, when I removed A380 and its driver and used IGPU UHD630, everything worked fine again. The operating system is Windows 10 22H2. Does anyone know of any solutions to this issue?

Did you try the drivers referenced the link above?

All I can say is devs are looking into this as there are server topics on ARC issues.

Intel doesn't appear to be much help either per this topic.

Doesn't look like we ar the only ones having issues with ARC.

My apologies for delayed response on this. No I was not able to get this resolved. Have since moved on with another solution.

Did you try the above suggestions?

HI, we found a solution and this will be resolved in Emby Server 4.8. If you need immediate relief we'll have a new 4.8 beta server with the fix sometime in the next few days.

TBH I did not.  I ended up going different route with an Nvidia card and haven't attempted with the ARC card since.  My apologies for abandoning the conversation/thread.   I see 4.8 per your next post resolves issue.  If you don't mind, what was the discovery?  I would like to try the ARC card if possible if you don't mind sharing the beta?

I see the current beta is 4.8.0.21.  I assume the fix will be a newer Ver?  I think this one was released in Dec?

It should be in the next beta 4.8.0.22+.

I see 4.8.0.27 beta was released today.  I assume this comes with the fix for this issue as stated, however I didn't see any callout in the release notes that was obvious to me.  What in particular was resolved if you are able to share?
