Android App Not Playing Video

Server : Version 3.0.5395.0

 

I cant get my android app to play any videos either films or TV Just get a black screen. MB Theater plays ok, attached edited log file (if its any use)

I am running into the same problem since I upgraded my android clients.  I have a Samsung S4 and a Galaxy Note 2, both running the Android client quite well until I upgraded to the new client.

 

Since then, I can only watch video when in my local network.  Outside the local network, it will connect to the server and allow me to navigate, but when I try to play a video I get perpetual loading with no play.

 

The web interface, MB Classic work just fine though.

 

What sort of information can I provide to help you troubleshoot?

I have this happen if HLS is off. If it's on it works.

It's in the settings tab, option to have HLS support on or off under playback. New version of app released today says this might be fixed however

I know the reason, please keep your HLS is on

Same for me... Thanks all! This fixed my issue. Though it would be nice to know why it works for some when HLS is on and why it works for others when it's off.
