unimatrixjohnny 1 Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 I'm trying to create an account for my son that would have parental controls, just so he can watch the movies and shows appropriate for him but hide the rest. After I create his account and go to the Parental Controls tab, I can't select a "Maximum allowed parental rating." That drop down doesn't have anything listed. It also doesn't work for any other users that I create. What is wrong with this? What could be causing the parental controls to not work? I know I could create a custom tag, but to have to do that to hundreds of movies and shows, and to every new file added, would take a ton of time.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Possibly browser or browser extension causing issue with dropdown? Do other dropdown options work?
unimatrixjohnny 1 Posted January 1, 2023 Author Posted January 1, 2023 I thought about that, but it does the same thing in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Other drop downs do seem to all work.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 @unimatrixjohnny Does all your media how Parental Ratings? Does the browser console show errors when you expand the dropdown? (F12) 1
unimatrixjohnny 1 Posted January 1, 2023 Author Posted January 1, 2023 I don't know if all my media does, but I did check a few movies and they did have ratings listed. The only error I see is:

unimatrixjohnny 1 Posted January 1, 2023 Author Posted January 1, 2023 So as an update, I tried again this morning. Chrome and Edge, still no dropdown. Now Firefox all of a sudden has the dropdown and I was able to get parental controls working perfectly. I have no idea why it all of a sudden started working since I have not made any changes yet. But I got it working at least! 1
