Shindou12 0 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 I really enjoy using emby. However, when I back out of a folder on my sony tv it goes back to the top. I read in other forums that this is a feature to be able to select the tabs at the top easily. It is very annoying trying to find a movie and reading the description in the folder to only back out andd be moved to the top and have to go through the large folder again to resume searching. Is there anyway that pressing back could be made to exit the folder and keep you in the same location and then press back again to bring you to the top of the folder? This seems like it would solve both problems and would decrease my frustration level significantly.
ebr 16179 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Hi. That is not intended. Which Emby app are you using on your TV?
Shindou12 0 Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 I'm using 4.7.11.0 and version 2.0.83 g on a Sony Bravia with an android system.
Shindou12 0 Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 If this is not intended I'll reinstall and see if that fixes it. I'll give an update
Shindou12 0 Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 I reinstalled the app and it did not fix it. It still brings me to the top of the folder every time I back out of a folder.
Luke 42078 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Hi. Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.

Do you mean when you first return from opening a different folder/item or when you are part way down in the grid and then hit back from there? If the latter, that is intended.
Shindou12 0 Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 I side-loaded it and it still had the same difficulty. It happens when I first return from a different folder it shoots me straight to the top and I have to go back to the movie that I exited manually.
ebr 16179 Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 That is not the behavior seen by me nor what is intended. I'm wondering if maybe your remote might be sending two back commands or something...
Luke 42078 Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 @Shindou12 are you still having an issue with this?
