skip metadata detection for a video file

Hi,

is it somehow possible to skip the automatically detection of metadata - but not for the whole library?
if not, is there a smart way to delete all the metadata which was found by emby but isn't correct for a specific videofile? I only want that emby takes a screen from the videofile but not more.

I can think of 2 options, first step would be to copy videofile out of library, than

a) scrape movie i.e. with TinyMediaManager

b) disable the scraping of metadata in the library options, add the file and switch back to scraping

I'm not sure if I understand this option.
Do you mean that this TinyMediaManager creates a nfo file for me and emby won't try to find "wrong" metadata?
Maybe you can explain it a little bit further so that I am able to understand your proposal correct.

hmm, I don't like this option because as soon as I move files around the false metadata will come back.

to be honest maybe a feature request would be nice to allow settings per file base to have two more options:

1) Delete Metadata (if it was wrong attached)
2) Skip Metadata for this file (to prevent getting new Metadata for this file)

Sach halt das ich mit Dir deutsch schreiben kann 

a) Ja, mach ich selber so. Ich scrape die Filme in TinyMediaManager, der benennt die Files auch alle nach dem gleichen Schema (anpassbar) und man kann

in TMM einstellen, für welchen MedienServer er scraped, also Emby, Kodi, Plex, usw.. die erstellte *.nfo hält Emby davon ab zu suchen.

 

b) In der Emby Bibliothek kann man auch einstellen, das die Metadaten niemals aktualisiert werden, d.h. auch wenn du die Files hin und her kopierst, wird nicht neu gesucht.

ok, also liegt es an der nfo Datei...kann ich einfach eine leere nfo Datei ablegen?
Wird Emby in weiterer Folge davon abgehalten ein Vorschaubildchen aus der Videodatei zu ziehen?

ad b)
Es ist so eine mixed Bibliothek wo ich die Erkennung schon manchmal haben möchte...aber bei sagen wir YouTube Videos brauche ich die Erkennung einfach nicht und da ist sie störend. Da reicht mir das Vorschaubild und ein Text (Dateinamebezeichnung).
Klar ich könnte jetzt die Bibliothek auftrennen...aber das wollte ich eigentlich vermeiden.

Ich werde mal den nfo Ansatz probieren ob das für mich funktioniert. Danke für den Tipp!

Ich glaub eine leere Datei hilft nicht, käme aber auf nen Versuch an.

Ach es geht um die Vorschaubilder, kannste auch hier deaktivieren, aber global willste nicht ?

Wie gesagt, wenn du da einstellst nie und nach dem hinzufügen auf nur beim hinzufügen sollte das auch gehen.
