Is it possible to have emby rename all movies in a library on demand using tokens from data it has about the file?

i.e. Moviename, The (Release Year) - (Quality)

but preserving the libraries and existing folder structure?

Thanks in Advance.

For existing library items: no.

For new items, you can make use of Auto-Organize PLUS plugin which can act on filenames at the time of ingestion.

Ok thanks for your help. I wanted to rename most of the items in my library, but cannot find a way of doing it with the tools I already have.

I want to do this because i want to import my entire existing library into radarr, but it cannot do this automatically unless it has information like the file resolution (720 / 1080) etc.

Thanks for the information.

You need to use some external tool (like this one).

*arr apps are not dependent on your file naming as they'll probe your files, no resolution info is necessary in filename, you can also use their renamer for same purpose.

I've attempted to import my library, and managed to import a number of folders, however it doesn't show that the "movie" exists as it cannot determine the quality of the movie, so it looks at the folder and starts to re-download them, taking up space and download bandwidth, since the library is quite large, this can lead to huge amounts of data being needlessly downloaded. I know i can import the movies and set radarr to not monitor the folder, but this seems a little a half ass effort and a little counter productive.

For example, I've just imported one old tom hanks movie, which has the file already, but once it is imported i have to manually import the file - see below - as radarr doesn't know how to process it. I assumed that if the file had the information in the file name it would be able to import automatically - or is that assumption wrong?.
