Make external subtitles default

hi, I think external subtitles (srt files in my case) should be treated as default and forced subs, and as such be displayed.

 

Emby 's logic for subtitles is not the same as Kodi's and I have many subtitles problems ( including mkv's) ...

This can all be controlled by how you name your external subs. See here for more info: https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159160-subtitles

ok, didn't know about that, but it makes subs incompatible with other softwares

I believe it follows the same standard as Kodi, https://kodi.wiki/view/Subtitles#Using_Forced_Subtitles

If you are looking to have your subs always displayed, have your explored the 'Subtitles' section of your user profile?
