unlock app issue

Hi

I have been gone a while..and I have lifetime premiere account. So i thought I would take a look at Emby since its been a year or soso I am playing with it on my Nvidia Shield and I'm logged in and under my name   it says logout or switch users or unlock app for Android TV for 5$

I thought one of the perks of a lifetime premiere account you didn't need to pay for the apps any longer  or am I mistaken

Nope, with active Premiere subscription you shouldn't unlock any app additionally, all features should be available.

What does your server Settings>Emby Premiere tab show?

Edit: Does your Shield have internet access?

It says 

You have a Lifetime Emby Premiere plan and your device usage is well within your limit.

 

Also when I go to unlock the app it says You are connected to a premiere server so you do not have to unlock this app however if you wish to purchase am unlock then the app will no longer count toward the premiere  device limit

Is this something new I thought with a lifetime premiere account you didn't need to pay for the apps ever again if so why is it asking me

Sorry I did not see your other question.. Yes my Shield has internet access

You don't have to, however you might want to in order for that device not to count against your Premiere device limit (standard license carries 25 devices limit) as the note says.

Ok I  can do that but with a lifetime membership shouldn't every app already be paid for  I'm just confused by the situation

Again, you DON'T NEED To, unlocking is completely optional when you're connecting to Premiere server.

ok that's paid I  checked my phone it doesn't seem to require the same issue must be an android TV thing

Hi.  All features were working, correct?

As Grim stated, the unlock was not needed in your situation and, when you went to the unlock purchase screen, it should have explained that to you:

I understood that sir it was just message I had never seen before back when I was using a Roku possible I just missed it and finally noticed it when using an Android TV deviceeither way the more devices I can have that don't effect my limit all the better it was just a one time payment and the company deserves the support
