Might be that More single

As it is a single and on Flamagra album looking at MBZ.

the "More" is a single, with separate musicbrainz tags.  I don't know which one fixed it, but converting it to AIFF and/or switching the tags to a different version of the album, appears to have fixed this one.

However, looking through, I've found that emby is actually doing this with multiple albums.  But, it's weird.  If you look at the album line, it will have the wrong name and/or cover art. But if you look at the song's list above, it has the correct album art thumbnail and the correct album title:

Those are two examples.

I've also attached logs incase that has anything.

Looks correct showing Artist

Song shows Album via Artist view

But can't say what is going on with your database unless there is something in 4.7.9.0.

hmm, I'm really not sure what to do then.  As you saw, the correct info is there, and you can see it in the song thumbnails in my screenshots.  So there's no metadata I can change to correct it.

What is your library provider order?

Only guess is Discogs as primary does do different things but primarily noticed messing up SortTitle.

I would recommend making it secondary provider.

ok, i'll remove those two albums. rescan. switch musicbrainz and discogs. then readd them. See how that goes.

well, it fixed one of the artworks perhaps.  but the correct album title still only shows up in the song thumbnail.

Like like multiple embedded images, but will check.  That is the Discogs image look stacked due to release.

What is wrong in that first screenshot?

If this is about the image, you probably have different images assigned to the album and songs. When you view the album screen, you're going to see the image that is assigned to the album (if present).

When you play songs, you'll see the song-specific image if there is one, otherwise it will use the album image.

@Luke the problem is that the Album in the bottom row doesn't list the correct title. Where as above in the song list it does.

OK, try just editing the name of the album.

@Luke and then here, it shows the wrong title in the album view (top photo).  but it shows the correct album title in the playlist queue (bottom photo).

But Just so you know even though it looks like you changed the name in emby you can't. Emby will not let you change the title of an album or an artist for that matter. ( @Happy2Play can you confirm that) Which seems incorrect to me...

-vicpa

@Luke As explained here, emby doesn't recognize if you try to change the name inside of Emby.

Right, sorry, OK. Is this because you first imported the music with one album name and then updated the embedded info in your tracks?

The album was in there originally.  I added tags through picard.  but I deleted the album first. had emby scan the library and then added the album back in.  But also, the album title never changed when i ran it through picard.

What I would suggest is removing all music from that artist out of your library altogether. Then in Emby library setup click Scan All Libraries to do a complete scan and clean them out of the database.

Then restart the server and add the music back. If you still have a discrepancy, then please attach the server log from the restart and adding them back, and that should help us get to the bottom of it. Thanks.

ok, i'll try that next.

This appears to have worked.  So do I have to go through all this everytime I found an album with the wrong title displayed? I've included logs just incase it provides any helpful info.

Hopefully not, no. Let us know if you run into it again.
