iiiJoe 62 Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 (edited) Hello to all. I'm upgrading to a new pc and am wondering if I can save the most recent backup from emby on my old pc on a thumb drive and restore on my new one? I've read some of the posts on back up and restore but I'm not really grasping the details. Sorry if this is a dumb question. Thanks in advance! Edited December 20, 2022 by iiiJoe
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted December 20, 2022 Solution Posted December 20, 2022 Yes there would be two options here If using the Server Configuration Backup plugin, you would copy or backup directly to thumbdrive. But not that is just configs, user/userdata. Or if the drive is large enough you copy the entire Emby programdata folder to have a exact backup of your current install. Only thing you have to watch out for is ensure library paths remain the same on new one. Somewhat covered here Emby Backup : 1
