RokuGuys 10 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 For the past several months, anytime a new media file is added to the library, it doesn't show up on the Emby Home page under the Latest section. I have to manually go to the library folder and select the file, then once I go back to the home page, it shows up under the Latest section. So there is some issue with emby not automatically scanning the folder changes like it used to before. If not, I have to manually click the scan button on the library to force the update. Are there any new settings that control this feature or something I am missing. Emby Windows Server : 4.7.11.0 Android TV : 2.0.83g
Luke 42085 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Hi there, have you explored the date added value in the metadata editor for these titles?
RokuGuys 10 Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 No I haven't. How do I do that? The date added looks correct on the movie details page.

Happy2Play 9783 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Are you saying this is a specific client issue? As it sounds like a screen refresh issue. Do you see the same behavior in the web client?

Agree, as OP says: 5 hours ago, RokuGuys said: I have to manually go to the library folder and select the file, then once I go back to the home page, it shows up under the Latest section. If media eventually appears in Latest without any modification, then sounds more like a refresh, and not a date added issue. 2 1

When I select the movie in the library, the new page opens up with the imdb details/description has the Added:8/15/20 attribute on the right side bottom of the screen.

True, if not I have to manually click the scan files option and that displays the new file name as well. So it has to be a refresh issue.

Luke 42085 Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 @RokuGuys can you please show us an example?
