KevinBorchert 1 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Hi, I'm running into an issue where all episodes within a TV show only show a completely random amount of time, like, 2 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins out of episodes that are around 22. I opened the file itself within VLC and they are correct and playable for the full 22 mins. I have removed from their locaton on my NAS and then put them back but same thing, resynced library, and still same thing. Any thoughts?

Luke 42085 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Hi @KevinBorchert can you please try refreshing the metadata on that title and see if it helps? Thanks.
KevinBorchert 1 Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 @LukeI just tried that, still nothing. I was maybe thinking file format, which is MKV but I have several other shows / movies in that format without issue.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 @KevinBorchert It could still be a bad encode that ffprobe has issues but VLC does not. What does Emby show for Media Info? Have you tried Remuxing the file with MKVToolNIX?
KevinBorchert 1 Posted December 19, 2022 Author Posted December 19, 2022 I've attached two screenshots; full_S3E16 is a full episode and 6 mins_S3E1 from the same season is only 6 mins. I just downloaded MKVtoolNIX and will attempt to figure out what you said @Happy2Play.
visproduction 316 Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Possibly related. Report that this color space bt709 has spotty performance on mobile playback. https://github.com/google/ExoPlayer/issues/3186 "... high bitrate H.264 Widevine-protected DASH content in combination with color space BT.709. On some phones this combination results in very choppy, borderline unwatchable videos."

Solution KevinBorchert 1 Posted December 20, 2022 Author Solution Posted December 20, 2022 Hi all, I figured out what was going on this morning - there was an additional folder with "featurettes" within them, some being super short 1-10 minute long videos but with proper folder names (e.g., season 1,2,3, episode 1,2,3, etc) so Emby was scanning said folder and making them the default file to watch. I removed the folder and all is well. I sincerly help all the troubleshooting! I'm sorry it was my silliness that created this! 1
