There isn't really anything broken right now. The item is direct playing.  You are only running into an issue when you try to force it to playback in another manner.

I've added more logs. Generated from the my server. 

Please let me know if the really if the case. I know it's not technically broken.

But watching it in stereo only is a downer. My receiver only have SPDIF.

That's why I'm pursuing this.

The bottom line is, if you want to convert that audio on the fly, you are going to be right back where you were with a full transcode.  There will be no way around that.
