How to tell if subs are burnt in?

My open subs is set to English and forced but im geting one that Asian forced? Is it burned in?

Your subtitle dropdown will tell you which subs are embedded or external, as will particular item Media Info details at the bottom of the page. If that Asian sub ain't listed there - it's hardcoded.

Embedded and burned in are two different things.  Which one did  you mean?

It is impossible to tell it there are already burnt in/hardcoded subtitles. 

We can only see actual embedded and external subs and their type.

Correct, you'd have to deduce it from seeing the subs on the screen but confirming that they weren't being displayed by the player nor burned in during transcoding.
