Release a lite version of emby

I would like a version of emby that is compatible with movies and series only.  Without the options that exist today such as (books, music, live TV, etc.) I think it would be wonderful for movie and series lovers only and would give us a cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing version without all the settings that the other things have.  This will give a proper response to the known streamers.

How does library content type effect the server in any way?  Only way I can see is potentially plugins and all admins can reduce their plugins as needed.  Like no need for PortMapper or DLNA, remove the plugins.  Still don't understand what a lite version would be?

For example...future updates will be made according to the fact that this is a version only of movies and series.  For example, in sorting a collection, there will be no option to select an artist or an album.  Because the lite version will be without music support.

Another example is a display of actions that could be more compatible with a version that is only movies and series.  Like instead of "play" which is a word that can match both "playing" songs and movies.  It will be possible to replace with the word "watch now" which is more suitable for the light version of only movies and series.

Hi, what exactly would it clean up other then a few menus in server settings?

If Emby won't make a music version only, the chances of this are probably zero. IMHO I don't really see the point anyway.

Your example sounds good to fix up, but would have thought it just needs a bit more care with options, not a whole new version.

To tell the truth.  emby for me the best media server on the market.  And as one who only uses it for movies and series.  I would like the entire user interface and display to be completely compatible with movie and series content.  That's all I'm saying.  And because emby supports many types of content, so for me it's a bit messy.

To a point this is a losing battle as everyone's version of Lite will be different as a media server should include all content types.  But it is easy for you to make limits by removing plugins.

Makes me think of before iptv and such was added, @Luke do you have a copy of the very first emby ever released ? I would like to install it just to see it and compare to it now.
