Unraid - Hand Holding request for Integrity Check

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hello,
I am experiencing an error that I reported here
I was given some basic trouble shooting tips, but they are not directly applicable to Unraid, as it is not exactly a *nix OS, and Emby is in a Docker.
The Docker is the Emby Repository docker image.

I did the first steps of deleting the library.db-shm & library.db-wal files, but the error is still persisting. So, I now need to do an integrity check. This is where i run into the problem.  I think i can kludge out the commands and process from this reddit thread about a similar problem with Plex, but I don't really know if that is exactly the right series of commands etc and I am afraid of breaking things unnecessarily.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

@jiggity

Hi,  yes you can try something similar to that. Just make sure you have a recent version of sqlite installed. Let us know how you get on. Thanks.

@Luke
Thanks for replying, holidays happened and i was delayed in getting back here.

I have a couple things to report and some more questions.

I installed sqlitebrowser as a docker on my unraid box, but I cannot figure put how to give permissions to look at other docker files. i can manually copy the db file to the sqlite browser location to look at. I am not terribly comfortable doing CLI operations, i am capable of doing them, but it is not my forte.  If I need to actually use the console I will proceed that route.

Before I do that i noticed the library.db file is greater that 500 MB, and I suddenly had a thought, this is my question.  Would increasing the database size in the Emby settings be of any value here or does that affect a different database? The default setting is for 96 MB

The option you're referring to is the database cache size. That is a performance setting and won't have any impact on data integrity or the actual .db file size.

Luke, thanks for the assistance, again.

Here is what I have found, and an update on the situation.
The Emby app for my LG OLED TV updated recently, and I have not had an error reported in over a week now. I also get better intro and credit notifications in the app.

I ran an integrity check on the library.db, I needed to copy the library to a local widows machine and use an install of sqlitebrowser.
The integrity check came back without errors.

I will say that this is resolved unless I begin getting errors as a regular occurrence again.
