Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 (edited) I stand corrected as after the scan finished, I was back to 3 folders. But is does have to do with the Specials folder as BGS Specials still failed as it is not recognized as a Season folder. But Specials alone is recognized as Season 0. Needs to comply with KB Specials Or manually assign Season number per Special folder and do another library scan. And the extend Specials/Extras I believe only apply to 4.8. KLF&TLF 28 Posted December 17, 2022 Author Posted December 17, 2022 Mine still hasn't finished scanning but thought of another series that makes me pull my hair out. I used the naming convention of specials as per the instructions in Emby for Ghost Adventures and it shows all my seasons perfectly while I am missing a season and then my other issue is Emby wants to tell me that I am missing Season 25 when I am not because Season 25 doesn't exist but that comes from the difference between IMDB and TVDB so Ghost Advent is one that I have let my OCD slide on but it drives me bat shitte crazy that upcoming is screwy. However, I must say THANK YOU for all the suggestions it is this type of response that keeps me with Emby rather than switching back to Plex
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 (edited) @KLF&TLF What externalids does it have? In a test mine shows 23 seasons for Ghost Adventures. Technically 24 (0-23). Edited December 17, 2022 by Happy2Play
KLF&TLF 28 Posted December 17, 2022 Author Posted December 17, 2022 I’ve stepped away as I broken my back 3 weeks ago so now flat. I will get back up in a few hours to check on it all but GA is my nemesis 1
KLF&TLF 28 Posted December 17, 2022 Author Posted December 17, 2022 OK so now I have fixed 2 reality shows but I am still out on one but I am way to sore and now drugged up to look further so thank you for the direction in which you have led me hopefully I can see my errors
KLF&TLF 28 Posted December 17, 2022 Author Posted December 17, 2022 I believe now this has fixed the problem. After following the directions in your TV naming support I had my folder structure as Specials while this works for some it doesn't work for all. I thought after my midnight sitting at the computer going through all my drives that maybe it was also my series name in the directory that was throwing it out but that wasn't the case as it worked perfectly for me on everything bar reality. So I finally settled on Name of Series/Shortened Name of Series Season X/File /Homeland/Homeland Season 0/Homeland S00E1001.mkv /Bering Sea Gold/BSG Season 0/BSG S00E1301.mkv So let me explain my naming convention for the file as this is different to your instructions S00 is referencing the Special the E1301 references the special came out in Season 13 and it is the first special of the season. Since some reality shows do multiple specials through out the season it was easier to name the specials the season then incremental. I get that it won't match TVDMB or IMDB but I manually update those. So thanks 1
