Mixtapes

Hi Guys,

 

I have a problem and not sure if anyone can help, I am trying to add some new mixtapes I have been working on to Emby but I do not want this to mix with my other music and show up in the latest music area. I want this to show up in a folder called mixtapes and each mixtape to show as an album on its own without any metadata as I dont need it. Can anyone advise on how I can achieve this?

Create a 2nd music library and point it to a totally seperate folder or share

Each mixtape would have its own folder under the above main folder

Ie

 

/mixtapes/    < point the library here

/mixtapes/mix1/*.mp3     < audio files go in here 

/mixtapes/mix2

Etc

Thanks for replying, will this not appear in latest music then? Also how do I stop emby adding any metadat stuff?

Not appearing in the latest is a bit more tricky.   Need to check this myself (on the train atm) but think you can specify this in the library settings. Just turn off the metadata providers for that library if you don't want it to attempt to get metadata.

Ah it's actually in 'home screen' settings per user - just untick the box below for your mixtape library - and it won't appear in latest etc for that user.
