ebr 16176 Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Hi. Can you please define "not showing at all"? They don't display when selected or they aren't available to select?

ebr 16176 Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Can you please play that item for a few seconds and then follow the instructions to send a log from the app?

ebr 16176 Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Can you try putting the TV in developer mode and then re-run the test and send the log?

ebr 16176 Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Unfortunately, that didn't work. Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
cheese807 0 Posted December 15, 2022 Author Posted December 15, 2022 I tested the Android version, and the external subtitles can be displayed correctly when you click to play when the menu interface is directly selected. But after switching to external subtitles in the video, the subtitles are no longer displayed. No matter whether the subtitles in the video are selected in the menu interface or in the video, they will not be displayed. The audio and video of the Android version are out of sync. The TV version is normal, as shown in the video. video.mp4 logs.rar
cheese807 0 Posted December 15, 2022 Author Posted December 15, 2022 Where is the log storage directory of the tv version? Can I get the log through the root method?

His TV also doesn't display subtitles correctly (neither external nor in-video).
ebr 16176 Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Hi. There are some errors in that log that imply a deficiency in the Android framework on that device. Not positive that is why you aren't seeing subs as, in the log you sent, it looks like subs were actually being burned in by the server. Please check for any firmware updates for the TV.
cheese807 0 Posted December 15, 2022 Author Posted December 15, 2022 In China, Android TVs are not allowed to install the Google framework. Since the operation of TVs is much more troublesome than that of mobile phones, it is very difficult to install the Google framework using some unconventional methods. We have inquired a lot of ways to install the Google framework, but all failed. May I ask if you can avoid the dependence on the Google framework in future version updates, thank you very much!
Luke 42078 Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 Hi, are you still having an issue with this? Have you updated to Emby Server 4.7.11?

Luke 42078 Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Can you try updating to the latest version of the sideload build? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html We've updated our embedded video player to the latest version. Let's see if it plays better with that. Thanks !

Let's see if it plays better with that. Thanks ! When I use the Android mobile version software, the problem of audio and video out of sync is very obvious, and the subtitles cannot be displayed. The out-of-sync issue does not occur on the Android TV version. Now I gave up the Android TV and bought an Apple TV. The subtitles of some videos are also not displayed correctly, and there is a video that freezes, like a stop-motion animation. I hope to provide a way to report the log and see if it can be processed. Of course, the problem of Android TV may trouble many Chinese users, and if it can be solved as soon as possible, it will help many users solve the problem.
cheese807 0 Posted January 20, 2023 Author Posted January 20, 2023 None of the above problems occurred on the iOS app. Due to the limited computing power of the emby server, I turned off the server-side decoding. I believe that if the server-side decoding is used, the above problems can be solved, but I have no way to turn on the server-side decoding.
