No Connection without restart

For the past few days, I've been having an issue /w MB connecting to serverwmc. I have the app start every morning but lately when I attempt to connect to LiveTV (recordings, channels etc) I get nothing without having to either kill and restart serverwmc or restart MB. Today I had the issue and ran a test with XBMC access and it seemed to have no issue getting the guide, recordings etc. MB...no go. Finally I rebooted MB and then the access was there. Timeline. The last time I checked before rebooting was around 9:53E. I rebooted MB about 30 min later and all works now.

MB and serverwmc logs loaded.

probably you started MBS before server wmc. it runs the refresh guide task at startup. if you're starting swmc after MBS then you should either run the task manually or adjust the schedule for it

Good point. I do reboot all of my systems in the early hours of the morning. I'll adjust to where MB system reboots after.

I just released a new version of the serverwmc plugin (1.0.0.43) that should fix this problem.  It should allow MBS to start before swmc.  Thanks @@Luke.

Krusty... do you want me to test? I've already switched which loads 1st but can put it back to the way it was.

Sure, if you don't mind.

System says I'm up to date. Once the update is available, I'll try it.

Hi guys. I was just wondering if this plugin was tested. I've got some start up coordination questions as well. I've tried to start the Mediabrowser server as a Windows 7 service and then set the ServerWMC to start when Windows starts. But that never seemed to work properly. When I go in and attempt to use LiveTV it just says "no connection" when I look in the channels section. Is this a valid start up method, or can someone suggest a better way? I'd just like to have things start auto-magically when I turn on Win7.

Can you verify which version of the plugin you are using?

Hi krustyreturns, I will double check the version as soon as I get home and post a reply.

Hi krustyreturns, I will double check the version as soon as I get home and post a reply.

I've taken a look at my code versions, and here they are:

   Mediabrowser Server 3.0.5395.0

   Mediabrowser ServerWMC plugin 1.0.0.43

   ServerWMC 1.0.0.42 build 1167

The good news is that everything works as advertised, leaving me a bit mystified why it didn't appear to work before. Oh well, when I set Mediabrowser to start as a service, or a delayed start service, it works just fine. Krustyreturns, your plugin works fine.

Thank you for your patience. Time for a bit of TV  :P

A Live TV service provider plugin is required in order to continue.

Please install one of our available plugins, such as Next Pvr or ServerWmc.

I have verified I have yet it will not register inside of media browser that it has the plugin installed.

It worked previously like a charm as this is the first time i have had this issue arise.

1.0.0.43 ServerWMC plugin

Version 3.0.5404.29588 MBS dev build

ServerWMC 1.0.0.42 build 1167
