How do I test a plug-in I made?

I'm pretty new to coding and what not and tried to create a plug-in to allow quicker locking/unlocking of all metadata.

I'm not positive how plug-ins should be written and I was curious if I was going about anything wrong.

If you'd like to check it out and maybe even help I'd appreciate it.

Hi, what does it do? You build the .dll, copy it into the server's plugins folder, and then restart it.

It should theoretically lock all metadata when enabled without manually doing each individual movie. I'm new to coding so I'm probably doing something wrong anyways especially if it's not a .dll, I used OpenAI's tool to help with a few things. I can show the code if you'd like, I'm using C++.

My suggestion, is have a test server available.

My primary server is on a Synology NAS box.  But I installed a test server on my software development box, where I can install and test plugins without risking any problems on my actualy emby server
