LateForDinner 2 Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Hi, I have an issue with only one TV show and it happens at 13 minutes from the end of every episode. At 13 minutes from the end, the video goes into fast forward with normal audio. I have checked the files with VLC and DS Video and it does not reproduce on these players. The files are Mpeg4. I have upgraded the server on Synology to version 4.7.10.0-604071000 with no help. The files are on the synology connected to the Sony TV over Gb ethernet. Any ideas? Thanks!
ebr 16179 Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Hi. Can you try remuxing one of those with something like mkvtoolnix?
LateForDinner 2 Posted December 3, 2022 Author Posted December 3, 2022 I am MacOS and have handbrake. I'll try it and get back to you. 1
LateForDinner 2 Posted December 4, 2022 Author Posted December 4, 2022 Yeah, it fixed the issue. I don’t really want to have to fix four seasons of episodes though!
Luke 42078 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Hi. Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
LateForDinner 2 Posted December 5, 2022 Author Posted December 5, 2022 Sure but I have a couple of questions. I've paid for the app I'm using now, do I have to remove it to side load the other app? How will this affect my paid version? Will the TV allow two apps of the same?

You do not need to remove the existing app. The two apps are independent and can be installed side by side. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
LateForDinner 2 Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 Still working on sideloading, haven't found out how to do it yet without an android device or a PC
LateForDinner 2 Posted January 4, 2023 Author Posted January 4, 2023 I wasn't able to side load the app. I didn't find a free side loader. Is there one you can recommend? @cayars
Carlo 4561 Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 For Android? You don't use a 3rd party app for this. Sideloading is just downloading the app onto the device, then running it to install it. If it's your first time you will likely get a message to go into system systems and change a setting to allow install from sources other than the app store.
LateForDinner 2 Posted January 10, 2023 Author Posted January 10, 2023 The TV doesn’t see the application on the flash drive to install it. If there’s another way to download it to the TV without using the play store I don’t know what it is.
Mnejing 23 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.esaba.downloader&hl=en_CA&gl=US Get this, should be in the app store for your TV. It's free, and safe. You can go to the downloader on the side and enter this link: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/raw/master/android/emby-android-google-armeabi-v7a-release.apk If you get a warning about a third-party app trying to install stuff, allow it. AFTv should just take you straight to the appropriate setting. Then just... install it. No need to go looking for files on the TV somewhere.
LateForDinner 2 Posted January 11, 2023 Author Posted January 11, 2023 Thanks, I have the app side loaded now and will test. 1
LateForDinner 2 Posted January 12, 2023 Author Posted January 12, 2023 Can’t use the side loaded app without paying for Emby Premier. It would let me play one minute of the file but no more.
