Emby became slow after changing local ip

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I had to change local ip of synology nas from 192.168.13.98 to 192.168.0.98 because it had been duplicated router. And after changing local ip, Emby has stopped scanning new videos and a community scraper also stopped working with errors that contains the old local ip.

Its taking more time to play videos or loading images than it used to be.
can someone give me any advices?

Hi, what time was that during the time period of this log file? Also, why did you roll back from 4.7 to 4.6? That could be the reason for your problem because 4.7 will have created changes that 4.6 won't be able to deal with.

Hello,

Thank you for the help.  I was forgetting that I installed 4.7 before I re-install the latest version available on the package center, which was 4.6, hoping it solves problems…so I updated version to the latest 4.7 again but im still facing the issues. I appreciate if you take a look in to the log file.

12:58 - tried to see the list pf movies but loading was slow

12:59 - tied to update metadata with images but images are not updated as it was used to be

12:59 - tried to play a video but it didn't start

13:13 - played another video but took time for 1 min to start and play was choppy

You've got image urls in your database pointing to a server that is unavailable and causing lots of timeouts when trying to reach it:

2022-12-04 12:52:11.843 Error HttpClient: Connection to http://192.168.13.98:9876/v1/images/primary/FANZA/mird00098?ratio=-1&pos=-1&auto=False&quality=100 timed out
2022-12-04 12:52:11.846 Error Server: Error processing request
	*** Error Report ***

Where did those urls come from, javscraper maybe? In any case, try removing these plugins:

2022-12-04 12:47:19.669 Info App: Loading playback_reporting, Version=1.10.0.3, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/plugins/playback_reporting.dll
2022-12-04 12:47:19.669 Info App: Loading InfuseSync, Version=1.4.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/plugins/InfuseSync.dll
2022-12-04 12:47:19.669 Info App: Loading SmartPlaylist, Version=2.4.0.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/plugins/SmartPlaylist.dll
2022-12-04 12:47:19.669 Info App: Loading JavTube, Version=2022.1102.520.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/plugins/JavTube.dll
2022-12-04 12:47:19.669 Info App: Loading DiskSpace, Version=1.0.6.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/plugins/DiskSpace.dll
2022-12-04 12:47:19.669 Info App: Loading JavScraper, Version=1.2021.622.2145, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/plugins/JavScraper.dll

Then restart the server and see how that compares.

You're going to have to give it time because removing those plugins will not remove any urls that have already been saved to your database, so initially there are still going to be some timeouts, but as long as those plugins are not adding new ones, then little by little those timeouts should go away.

Thank you. Ive re-installed those plugins and will see what happens.
