MrPancake 10 Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 (edited) Hello, I have a series that takes about 30 seconds after I click play, to start playing on my Samsung Tizen TV (2015). The "loading" circle keeps spinning during the process. Looking at the logs, I couldn't find anything suspicious, apart from lines like this after I click play: Quote 2022-11-30 20:50:22.965 Info Server: http/1.1 Response 206 to host4. Time: 26399ms. I tested playing the same files on Emby Theatre in windows and on an android phone and it starts almost instantly, so no problems there. It says audio and video are direct playing, but have this on the top: Stream MKV (5 mbps) ->HLS (5 mbps) Converting to compatible container I'm running Emby Server 4.7.10.0 on a Synology DS920+ NAS. No problems with the rest of my media collection. Thank you! embyserver.txt ffmpeg-directstream-ca9a819c-fff8-4ee4-b359-3bf12f084521_1.txt Edited November 30, 2022 by MrPancake

Luke 42081 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 @MrPancake have you tried with emby server 4.7.11 and emby for Samsung 1.4.9?

Yes, actually on the latest emby for Samsung it completely freezes up. With the version in the logs, a much older one, it hangs for 30 seconds then plays.
visproduction 315 Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Embysystem log shows continously errors showing no access to a directory. Perhaps fixing the directory access would help. This happens about 50 times a second. That probably doesn't help. Access to the path '/var/packages/EmbyServer/var/data/collections' is denied.

Thank you for looking, I actually fixed that permission error, but it was unrelated.

Would it be possible for me to send you the video file for testing? Maybe there's something wrong about it?
