justinrh 260 Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Am I misunderstanding the stream stats? It says it is streaming 7.1 audio, but original is 5.1 audio. Why (and how) can it stream more channels than the original? I have a 5.1 sound system. Using ATV on my Shield. The video is a BR rip (m2ts), and Media Info says it is 6 channel. ffmpeg-remux-fc892d27-fe8c-4a9a-841d-9bf54b63c2b1_1.txt embyserver-63805190400.txt ffmpeg-remux-20114763-ba8f-4478-b0d7-2685d534676e_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-a75dce80-ddcd-4c47-9ab4-24f8b57257e7_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-b3f11adb-8a4d-4d18-9b84-167cc3ab0001_1.txt
Luke 42078 Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Hi, what does the server dashboard say during this time?
justinrh 260 Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 (edited) Why would the audio need to be transcoded? My understanding is that DTS:X is superior to DTS-HD, and my system supports DTS:X. Does this matter in this case? Edited November 30, 2022 by justinrh
Luke 42078 Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Because you can't put dts in hls, so as soon as the container has to be converted, then so too does the audio. 1
justinrh 260 Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 Now that the sidebar is out of the way, what's the deal with the stats info?
