Trimming Music Playlist - Suggestions/Tips?

So something that I've been doing, is using the "Frequently Played" area of my Music library to select "Play all from here" to

From there, I'll save a playlist from that play queue.  If I do this maybe once every few weeks, I kinda get a playlist mixing old stuff and more recent stuff I've obsessed over.  Then I shuffle that playlist and get kind of a fresh new mix of songs I like with relatively minimal effort.

The only problem is, that Frequently Played list goes out like 1000+ songs... which goes way out beyond anything I've listened to all that much or recently, kinda defeating the point.

So I go into the playlist afterwards and remove a bunch of songs off the end until it's more like 100-200 songs or so.  But this manual process of trimming down the playlist hundreds of items is a big ol' pain in the butt, even with some of the recent improvements to multi-select.

Just wondering if, knowing my process, anyone has any suggestions to make trimming the playlist or what I'm trying to accomplish a little easier?

Or in a perfect world, somewhere down the road maybe I can choose how many items/songs from the play queue to save to playlist and not have to trim anything.

Hi, yes this is something that needs to be improved. That function adds to the playlist, but sometimes you just want to overwrite it instead.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily my issue.  If I select "Play All From Here" from the Frequently Played list, I get a play queue (and subsequently a playlist) that's like 1000+ items long.

Since I'm basically trying to use that to occasionally generate new playlists of my favorite songs (based on what I play most frequently), that 1000 number is a bit excessive and trimming it down to my 100 or so most frequently played is a bit of a process.

EDIT: The easiest solution in my mind, is when I click Save Play Queue to Playlist, it asks me how many items to save (maybe blank or all by default like it currently does).  I enter 100 and problem solved, I have a playlist of my 100 most frequently played songs starting from the top.  But I wouldn't want to impose a new feature like that just for these hoops I jump through in a process that's probably pretty unique to me... so any other suggestions are appreciated.

OK yes being able to multiselect delete from the play queue would probably be helpful.
