JuiceBoxDrinker 4 Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Hey, I'm pretty new here and too Emby as well; so, I'm not quite sure of where to post this. (Feature Request perhaps?) But as described in the below link to an Emby forum, I am trying to setup cameras transmitting RTSP streams to Emby in some way. I saw a few other posts regarding the issue but cannot understand why it is not working, as VLC displays the output just fine. Is there any chance this has or hasn't been fixed? Are there any work arounds anyone can suggest? I use: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.0.82:554 I also get this error in the ffmpeg logs: Server returned 401 Unauthorized (authorization failed) I've tried it in m3u to no avail, and strm I could not get working (I added it to live tv and it doesn't show up) Emby is currently being hosted on a PI400 through a docker container, and HTTP also doesn't seem to be working (camera does a poor job at HTTP so I'm highly favoring RTSP). I am willing to move to an x86 host or to windows one if that helps. But of course, I don't want to make the change if no good will come of it. This would be awesome Thanks in advance :)
Luke 42078 Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
JuiceBoxDrinker 4 Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 Hey thank you lots, Sorry it seems I've wasted your time, I figured out the problem was just with the codec being h265 instead of h264 Not sure if 265 is supported by Emby, but I'm happy with the result and will likely not investigate for awhile further. Thanks anyway!
Luke 42078 Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Hi, h265 is supported. Can we please look at an example?
JuiceBoxDrinker 4 Posted December 1, 2022 Author Posted December 1, 2022 Oh okay cool, well right now I just have a single rtsp stream in m3u file being played through live tv (m3u tv tuner?) STATS on Emby Camera Video Config And that is proof it works as H264, its an Annke C500 if that helps. I changed to h265 and it acted differently this time, where last time it simple said the streams was incompatible or something. Now it seems to load infinitely. ffmpeg-remux-8e3f923e-1d78-457a-90cc-ebd508c2f5e1_1.txt I see this is the log 19:19:00.529 [rtsp @ 0x33cdf210] Multi-layer HEVC coding is not implemented. Update your FFmpeg version to the newest one from Git. If the problem still occurs, it means that your file has a feature which has not been implemented. As well in the beginning I can see inside the http address that both 264 and 265 are included, not sure if its supposed to say rtsp instead ? In case it matters this is the contents of the m3u file. #EXTINF:-1 group-title="Cam",Camera 1 rtsp://admin:Cj7190[]@192.168.0.82:554/Streaming/Channels/101/?transportmode=unicast.sdp I restarted the both the camera and the server to no avail. As well I removed everything after the port number in the url also without luck. I'm not too concerned about this issue since one form works, but I am curious so feel no obligation ahaha. Also I seem to be in a different time zone so sorry for the delays inbetween my update Thanks in advance
Luke 42078 Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Hi, please attach the main emby server log as well. Thanks.
JuiceBoxDrinker 4 Posted December 5, 2022 Author Posted December 5, 2022 (edited) Hey sorry for the delay, If you still want to pursue, I cleared my logs for no apparent reason so I will attach a new ffmpeg as well the server log below: EDIT: accidently sent before attaching files ffmpeg-remux-08e18c98-68ac-4f07-8734-570fcdfd16d5_1.txtembyserver.txt Edited December 5, 2022 by JuiceBoxDrinker Accidently sent before attaching files
