gnollo 17 Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 I realised that new movie additions do not show up anymore. I just scanned manually several times, no change. The movies are in the usual folder, but they are not being picked up. Any thoughts? Interestingly TV series do update with new additions, but not movies. Also manually updated the server docker version to 4.7.10.0, and scanned again, no change. I am using a docker on an unraid server. Log file attached for emby embyserver (4).txt
gnollo 17 Posted November 27, 2022 Author Posted November 27, 2022 PS Looking through the log file it picked up that a folder that was being scanned (dvd series) was not there anymore, so I removed it from the folders being scanned, and rescanned, but it did not fix the issue
Happy2Play 9780 Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 @gnollo You mean this? Info LibraryMonitor: Skipping realtime monitor for /mnt/user/unraid/dvd series because the path is currently not available System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path '/mnt/user/unraid/dvd series'.

Exactly, that is not the folder i had issues with, as series work fine, but I removed the link to it in the library as I no longer use it anyway. Rescanned, no change.

Luke 42077 Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Hi there, can you please provide a specific example? Thanks.
gnollo 17 Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 Any movie I added to the \\unraid\bluray folder after the 11th of October is not appearing on Emby. Example \unraid\bluray\Terrifier (2017) filename Terrifier.2017.1080p.BluRay.mkv I performed multiple manual scans, it does not show in emby, if I search for it

GrimReaper 4739 Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 When did you create bluray folder/library?
gnollo 17 Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 Long time ago. oldest items in there were saved in 2019
GrimReaper 4739 Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Our of curiosity, is it ticked/enabled under your user Access tab in Users>edit User? Or do you have any other restrictions in force (PG, Tag-based)?
gnollo 17 Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 If I click on Settings and then choose the Users tab, I can see all the users, but dont have an Edit users option? I have restrictions in force for the children account, not for any others
gnollo 17 Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 I have removed all the movies that were not ever scanned in succesfully. Rescanned, as I have updated the files from one of the folders. It does not even change the filename connected to a title that was already scanned, so that movie now won't play. The other movies which were originally scanned play fine. How can I find out which version of emby I was running on the 11/10/2022? Can i roll back to that version and test if it would scan the movies in?
gnollo 17 Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 Also tested adding the new movies in a separate folder, and adding the folder to the Movies library. Fail.

gnollo 17 Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 For my own user name (the only admin) everything is ticked under the Access tab
gnollo 17 Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 any ideas on how to fix my issue? anything odd in the log file?
GrimReaper 4739 Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Do you have any Filters enabled in your client app? Can you post that Terrifier NFO?

Would need to know this example and server log but will guess possibly permissions also. But that was going to be the next test. Create a test library and move a couple items into it to see if they are recognized.
Luke 42077 Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I would get the above permissions problem resolved and then I think you'll be good to go.

I am not sure what is going on. I removed the movie in question from the folder. Rescan The log file finds another one. I remove it. Rescan, the log file finds another one. I remove it. Rescan. You get the drift. These movies have been there for a long time, no issues before, I can play them fine. Any ideas why emby cannot access those folders anymore? Moving the folders affected out does not work, it seems anything in the bluray folder has he same problem, what can I do to fix it?
gnollo 17 Posted November 29, 2022 Author Posted November 29, 2022 My server OS is unraid, and emby runs as a docker on top. It is an array of 10 devices including parity, with 46TB of space.
Luke 42077 Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 The issue is the server is being denied access to query the contents of the folder. I will update the scan to be more tolerant of this and not allow it to cause the rest of the scan to fail, but in the meantime you can still resolve it by fixing the folder permissions.
