Next Song or Audio Book Starts Playing Before Current Track Ends

When playing back music, or audio books, the upcoming track begins playing before the currently playing track completely ends.

How can I get the playback to completely play the track before the next track begins?

Thanks.

@LukeLuke - Thank you for the reply.

There is no error displayed in the logs (that I could find) so I will try to explain the matter better.

When playing an album or playlist or audio book with more than one chapters - for the sake of this description there are two music audio tracks, Track A and Track B.

Track A is  01:30 (mm:ss) duration

Track B is 02:30 duration

During playback Track B begins playing when Track A is at 01:28 (approximately) - Not completely played.

It appears that Emby does not see this as an error, or I don't know where to look (newbie).

If you need any other information let me know.

Thanks.

What Emby app and device are you playing on?

@Luke - I am running Emby server version 4.7.10.0 on a Debian 11 Bullseye VM on Proxmox.

For playback I get the same symptom on AppleTV running the Emby APP and on a Mac Pro desktop in Safari browser.

I have not been able to reproduce. Please attach the emby server log from an example. Thanks.

@Luke Here is the log.  In this case you are looking for a audio book track titled "01 - Chapter I. Into the Primi"  Duration 26:31.  This track ended prematurely.

Bump.  @Luke Was that log file able to tell you anything about the matter?  If you need anything else let me know.

Hi, unfortunately nothing obvious, no. Can you try it on your Apple TV? How does that compare? it's two different players involved.
