Tags from MP3 Tag

Hi

In Emby you can add tags to media items. For example, in the below screenshot I have added the "Game Soundtrack" tag to a song.

My question is, is it possible to import these tags automatically from an ID3 tag (and if so, which ID3 tag)? or can they only be added through the user interface?

Hi, yes, currently with the tag name "roontracktag". If there are any other commonly used names for this we can support them as well.

Hi @Luke, this worked exactly as you described, but not as I expected.

I added some tags to a single album like so

And after a rescan, the tags appeared in Emby

However, when browsing by tag it lists all of the songs in the album rather than just the album.

So what I think I would like is support for ROONALBUMTAG

Shall I submit a feature request?
